If you spam click multiple signs in a row with Glow Ink Sac, Dyes it will open the edit sign menu witch makes it annoying to dye multiple signs at once.

That's because you can't dye a sign the same color, so the dyeing action is blocked, resulting in the edit action.
This is not a bug, but you triggering an intentional feature.
