[MC-261926] Cannot join a realm because of realms ad.

REALMS-1692 functionally identical to this problem, only difference is that the workaround no longer works 100% of the time

workaround found, requires full reinstallation of launcher
.minecraft folder has to be deleted entirely along side that.

Same problem on v1.20.1, uninstalled and deleted old file location, reinstall did not fix it. This is a pretty bad bug it seems like this would be rather high priority to fix for the devs.
