[MC-262771] You can update an item with NBSP from 1.19.4 to have a blank name

Use NBSP to rename an item in 1.19.4 and then update that world to the latest version (1.20 pre-4) to see that the name is now blank

What do floating striders have to do with this, @unknown? Issues with the NBSP character have been fixed before, and are considered valid. Such as; MC-262181, MC-262766 (Fixed), and MC-263360.

I cannot seem to get the NBSP character entered properly into the anvil GUI. Could you provide some clarification on how to reproduce this issue entirely?

When typing alt+0160 into my keyboard the character appears, but is just a normal character in 1.19.4:

In 1.19.4, the NBSP character isn't invisible and shows up like you see in your screenshot. Just update the world from that point to 1.20.4 to see that the NBSP character is then invisible.

Thanks for clarifying, I can confirm in 23w51b. Might be a good idea to include in the issue how to type out the NBSP character.
