I was doing an experimental SMP, set in the Void biome (minecraft:void). I was building a beach, and I decided to fill it with fish. I used to throw myself into the void sometimes to more easily remove the things I had in the inventory. When I teleported, all the fish disappeared without a trace... except for the turtles, which were still alive. Does anyone know why this happens? Is it a game mechanic?

  1. The environment is supposed to contain device details (like OS version), not in-game area.

  2. How were the fish spawned? With a spawn egg or a bucket?

I am sorry for not giving the necessary information. Well, here I have it:
OS: Windows 11 (64x)
Graphics: Nvidia Geforce GTX
I spawn the fish with an egg, in creative mode ( I used commands like /time set day).

Then that's why; fish are not persistent and can despawn, unless named with a name tag, or spawned with a bucket.

Thank you very much... But the fish disappear because it is in the game code or because it is a bug?

Intentional design, not a bug.
