using signs, adding signs, putting up signs and editing signs crashes my game every time! my wife and I have the same EXACT mods-- my wife is able to place, interact/edit signs and remove signs just fine with no crashes but when I try to do the same it crashes and throws my wife out. it can't be mod related or in my opinion wouldn't her game crash as well when trying to interact with signs? 43.1.65 is our forge version and no we're NOT using Optifine but instead Oculus (no not vr suite by same name) and Rubidium which are better then Optifine imo

What I expected to happen was...:
I thought I'd be able to interact with signs and wanted to try out the editing features I heard about but just crashes the game to the launcher
What actually happened was...:
the game just crashes with an error code: exit code -1
The game crashed whilst rendering screen
Error: java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "net.minecraft.client.gui.font.TextFieldHelper.m_95194_()" because "this.f_243993_" is null
Steps to Reproduce:
1. go into multiplayer (my wife joined my LAN game on our home network)
2. player that is hosting the session (me) tries to put up or edit a sign
3. the game crashes at this point.

However, this issue is Invalid.
Your game, launcher or server is modified.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please recreate the issue.
Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
A world which had previously been opened with a modified client might be corrupted. Please try reproducing the issue in a newly generated world.
Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.
If you have problems on large servers like Hypixel, please contact them first as they run modified server software.
