A player's hitbox hides while they are on invisibility even if they are fully equipped with armor

The bug:

A player's hitbox hides while they are on invisibility even if they are fully equipped with armor.

This bug makes fighting someone frustrating for people who are used to having hitboxes on at all times (to increase visibility and aim).

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Turn on hitboxes (hold F3 + B)

  2. Make someone fully equipped with armor.

  3. Give them the invisibility effect.

  4. Notice how their hitbox hides even though they are fully armored and clearly visible.

Intended behavior:

A player's hitbox does not hide if they have the invisibility effect on because they are still clearly visible even without the hitbox.

Actual behavior:

Their hitbox hides if they are fully armored and have the invisibility effect on.

Based off the resolution of MC-4069 being fixed, this seems to be working as intended as the effect is doing what it should (making entities, and their hitboxes invisible).

Behavior such as running particles, effect particles, and sounds made by the invisible player also hinder the effectiveness of the invisibility status but are unrelated to the effect itself.

I hope that is not the case. If it is true then I think that something that should be thought about is to whether help players who play with hitbox ON or not anything to save resources like cost or time. But that is up to Mojang to decide because they know their own priorities the best.

In case if people  are wondering "Why keep the hitbox on?" I will say it again JUST to be extra, extra sure. Basically the point is that a fully armored player is still clearly visible with invisibility on even if their hitbox is not on. So you might as well make it easier for people who regularly use hitboxes so people cannot abuse against that.

Requesting that this issue be closed as invalid/feature request for the reasons in my previous comment. MC-4069 Shows an intention of hitboxes being invisible while said entity is invisible, and armor hindering that is unrelated. Currently this behavior is expected when compared to all other interactions the visibility of an entities hitbox has with other displays of presense (sounds, visual queues, etc).
