I was playing java edition on my laptop, everything was working fine until I could no longer attack or do anything with left click, while using the shield in my off hand. I can't remember what exactly happened before this started (I might have died?). there is a bug report from august 15 2015 with the same issue so idk if this counts as a repeat or not. I checked my mouse, and it isn't the problem. I've even changed the key binds and problem still persists. it is also happening in my other worlds. any recommendations for trouble shooting in the comments are much appreciated.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-86141, so this ticket is being resolved and linked as a duplicate.
However, that ticket has been resolved as working as intended, which means that this will not be fixed as it is not considered a bug.
