While porting some chest textures in a resource pack, I realized that the chest texture of the chest boat, besides it being a few pixels smaller per panel, it's using the old chest texture layout.
In the images, the left chest layout is the current boat texture layout, that produces the front boat in the in-game screenshot, and the right chest layout (which matches the current chest entity layout) produces the chest in the back of the game screenshot.

Affects 24w09a, though after requesting review of MC-206735's resolution and seeing that it's staying WF (the request was denied), I would still argue that changing the UV map of the chest boat to be less intuative and inconsistent to other UV maps is not a good change.
This is a change request. The chest boat entity's model uses the same model that the regular chest uses, so it's expected that it would share the same UV map.
