If I look slightly lower than the horizon line I start to hear a low high pitched noise, the noise persists even if I mute the ingame audio or device audio and even if I change the audio output
My desktop pc has speakers in the monitor, even if I change in-game to use the monitor speakers, I still hear the noise throught my earphones.
opening the inventory or the options menù with ESC makes the noise stop
I've tried other games, youtube, audio files, using the earphones with another device and only in minecraft I experience this bug
I've already tried to update all the drivers and reboot my pc
I've tried different versions of minecraft and it happens even in 1.16.4

The noise is an irregular "piiiiii" like a low volume highpitched baloon slowly defleating, today I've also noticed that the noise volume is affected by the window size, smaller window smaller sound
I've tried recording but the noise I'm talking about doesn't appear in the video... other sounds work. Now opening the inventory or pressing ESC no longer stop the noise
This sounds like a hardware issue. If you can't record it, then it's not being generated by the game's audio.
It might be just how java communicates lack of sound to headphones. I know the high pitch sound you refer to, I've heard it before too, but I haven't heard it in ages.
so... is there a fix or do I need a new pair of earphones? Also if this is a java problem and not a minecraft problem I think it's better to "close" this bug report
What do you the "weird noise" sound like? Do you mean as cave noise?
