I think the report is about the difference in light levels of the two blocks bordering the sea pickle, as one is substantially darker than the other even though they should have basically the same brightness.

In that case it would be a duplicate of MC-95515.
Either case, this report is unclear and would be resolved as either invalid or duplicate.

I argue that this is not a duplicate of MC-95515. That report points out issues with shadows in certain block orientations no matter how many times the lighting is updated. This report is mostly about lighting specific to world generation. The sea pickles weren't able to properly update all of the blocks surrounding them. The replicated structure shows the lack of lighting update issues.
Not a bug, waterlogged sea pickles emit light, more if more pickles are contained in a single block.
