Tripwires will sometimes be permanantly triggered

When a trip wire is destroyed by explosion and the remaining string is connected, sometimes the trip wire will enter a state of continuously being "tripped" and powering the tripwire hooks.

It's not a big issue as you can fix it by removing and replacing the original string, but it is annoying. I have tested a few versions and seen this issue as far back as 1.14.3.

See the attachments for screenshots showing the issue.

Does MC-101820 describe your issue?

I am uncertain as that issue mentions that the tripwire hooks "reset" to their normal state after being unloaded, whereas in my case I do not see that.

I can't confirm this based off the provided information in the description, and attached screenshots. For me, the string just breaks and the tripwire deactivates as expected.

Can you add clear steps to reproduce the issue, and a video showing what you see occur?

@Jingy

I've been able to reproduce this bug in 1.21.1. I've attached a video showing the entire reproduction process.

After a few attempts I was able to confirm this in 24w36a:
