Then, selecting singleplayer worlds after clicking on multiplayer servers should also play the sound.

Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.

I don't think a clicking sound should be played here because the element being selected is a list entry and no notable change is being made. Other list entries such as clicking on multiplayer servers and selecting singleplayer worlds don't play the clicking sound, so I don't think selecting a layer or preset should either. The clicking sound typically plays when some kind of value is changed to indicate a change to the user. Regardless, I can confirm this behavior.
