It seems like Pillager Raid Capitains spawning in waves during raids do not trigger the Bad Omen effect / do not drop Ominous Bottle making impossible to get the effect during combact unlike previous versions.

Invalid/WAI. As specified with the changelog, Raid Captains outside of raids can drop Ominous bottles
It is no longer given to players that defeat a Raid Captain outside a Raid
Instead, players can gain access to Bad Omen by consuming a new Ominous Bottle
Works like intended.
Raids are triggered by the bad omen effect.
Bad omen is not given in a raid.
You can get the effect from an Ominous Bottle aquired from a Patroling Pillager Captain or one from an outpost.
You can get the Ominous bottles (level 1-2) also from Vaults inside the trial chambers
