Textures not linking and texture edges

Two graphical oddities that cropped up since the "Horse update". They seem interrelated, so listing them together.

1) Textures don't seem to link up anymore, resulting in the formation of visual grids, especially when seen from a distance.

2)Blocks also tend to display edges on their textures. See the snow, water, and smooth stone tower in the screenshots for most obvious examples.
