When placing a redstone torch on a block of redstone it lights up for a split second when it shouldn't. That's because a block of redstone prevents the redstone torch from lighting up as we all know.
How to reproduce
Craft a block of redstone and a redstone torch,
then place the redstone torch on top of the block of redstone, it's gonna light up for a split second when it shouldn't.
Observation:Β Redstone torch lights up for a second when placed on a block of redstone.
Expectations: It shouldn't light up since a block of redstone prevents it from lighting up.
Note: The torch also activates any redstone nearby and then deactivates the redstone as shown in the video.

It should be resolved as a duplicate, because Mojang has already decided it's Working as Intended in the previously noted issue.
Jiingy Yeah but this is a reopened report so its either working as intended or they're gonna review the report.
This is not a reopened issue, reopened issues are something different. This issue is a duplicate, because it describes the same behavior as a report that has already been created, and resolved.
With that being said, it's generally discouraged from my understanding to 'argue' or rather have lengthy discussions like this on the tracker, so if you'd like to continue the conversation we can move to Discord.
Thank you for your report!
