Logging out on top of a shulker misplaces the player when logging back in

Disconnecting out of a server/world on top of a shulker then logging/joining in the world again will place you inside the shulker, then promptly push you out.

How reliable is this, does it happen every time or require multiple tries? What significance does the punching of the shulker as shown in the video have?

@unknown I believe he entered a command to produce this bug, because as you can tell, when he hits the shulker box it takes damage rather than breaking. Anyways please provide the command and all the necessary information to reproduce this ItDoBeMeAngus.

It's a shulker, not a shulker box. It's expected to take damage.

@unknown Yeah true, but something seems to differ, when I tried to reproduce this nothing happened.

So I hit the shulker to show that it is a shulker and not a shulker box. For the command I only used the {NoAI:1} nbt to make it stay in place, but aside from that there was no external commands.

Yeah I tried to reproduce this the exact same way you did and wasn't able to in 1.20.5 pre-release candidate 1.

I tried once again. Even with a NoAI shulker, I'm unable to reproduce this.
