No items are received from killing livestock mobs. Cows, Pigs, Sheep, Chickens and Fish are the affected mobs.
What I expected to happen was...:
I would expect to receive some food items or secondary items from killing livestock mobs. Beef or Leather from Cows for example.
What actually happened was...:
When killing livestock mobs only experience is received, no food or secondary items
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Kill any livestock mob

Do you have any data packs enabled? If so, try removing them or disabling them using
/datapack disable <pack name>and see if that fixes the issue.
