If an animal is on a lead, attempting to collect wool/milk/scutes/etc. causes the lead to be removed instead.
Steps to reproduce:
Find a sheep, cow, or armadillo. Place it on a lead. Attempt to collect wool/milk/scutes with shears/a bucket/a brush.
Expected behavior:
You can collect the desired items.
Observed behavior:
The lead is removed and the items are not dropped (tool durability is not consumed).

The reported behavior of unleashing taking precedence over other entity interactions has been present in the game ever since the introduction of leads in Snapshot 13w16a.
Thank you for your report!
