The encapsulate feature used to bury structures like trial chambers only work on noise caves. Carvers will carve right through them.
In the screenshots below, you can see the trial chamber being encapsulated properly in a large cheese cave, but the carvers digging directly through them, revealing the walls of the chambers. Seed and coordinates are also attached.
