I've discovered it, when I was just mining on a server and was sprint jumping, so I can shorten time walking over to next block you're gonna break. It's not so massive of a difference of time, but when you just sttraight up mine few hours, you'll have less broken blocks when sprint jumping.

Works as intended. As far as I know, the mining speed is meant to be around five times slower while in the air.
