Steps to reproduce:
Open a single player world on Minecraft
Play for a bit
save and quit
get stuck on "saving world" for more than 30 minutes
get frustrated and end the java task.
reload Minecraft
Find that the world was NOT saved and progress was lost
This happens very often since 1.20.6
