Tadpoles can naturally swim outside of water

I couldn’t find out if someone has already reported this bug

The Error

If tadpoles are spawned in a pool of water level with the ground, the tadpole may accidentally jump out of the water. It seems that they are able to automatically pathfind back into the water when this happens but there’s always the chance that this may fail.

What I expected to happen was
When the tadpole is in existence, it will never be able to swim out of the water as long as there is no way for it to get out.

Instead what happened…
The tadpole will sometimes jump out of the water and onto the ground.
Steps to reproduce:

• Create a pool of water with the water level with the ground.

• Spawn tadpoles in the water.

• Observe for a few minutes.

• ❌ A tadpole may jump out of the water.
