Durability Error: Sword bug with bamboo

I don’t know if this has already been reported because the search feature is scuffed.

The Durability Bug

If you mine a bamboo with a sword, the sword will take 2 durability points instead of one. This is a bug because tools are only ever supposed to take one durability point per use. This makes manual bamboo farming deal a heavy toll to your sword.

What I expected to happen was...:
When I mine a bamboo with a sword, it’s durability should only go down by one.

What actually happened was...:
Instead, the durability went down by 2.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Get a sword and find some bamboo.

2. Press F3 + H to see durability.

3. Observe the current durability of the sword.

4. Break the bamboo.

5. Observe the durability of the sword again.

6. ❌ Notice how the durability of the sword has went down by 2 instead of the proper 1.
