I have been using the old launcher for a while since it launches java no issue. But with this new cape only being available on bedrock, I am just now realizing it doesnt work with bedrock for some reason??
In a panic, I tried to get the new launcher. I downloaded the installer from the official minecraft website and that did not work. I tried the app store, which also did not work.

Update: This duplicates MCL-21868 which was resolved as Working as intended. I also recommend checking MCL-22029 which also describes the same issue.
