Loss of player control in minecart when using /tick sprint

You lose control of your player character when travelling in a minecart at high speed during a tick sprint.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Import and enter the attached world:

[media]
  1. Enter the minecart and begin moving

  2. Run /tick sprint 16000

Observed result:
You are only able to move your camera up and down. No horizontal turning, no exiting the minecart. To exit the minecart it had to be killed via /kill @e[type=minecart]. Upon re-entering the world you are a few blocks away from the end of the track.

Expected result:
You retain full control over your player.

The bug only appeared when the tick sprint was above 4000 ticks per second. Therefore I assume the actual point after which it occurs is 4096 ticks per second. I cannot confirm this with 100% certainty.

It is not 100% reliable to reproduce, and it might take a few tries to get it working. I could not get the setup recorded, but I recorded the bug after it took place.
The image file ending in 19.34.45.png shows the setup used to start/stop at the ends of the track. The track between the non-powered rails is 2205 blocks long.
The image file ending in 19.50.03.png shows the history of tick sprints before the bug activated.
I uploaded a video of the bug in action at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1It1WdD3Zyt_uHS9tgjP80VCFPAEBZD1q
I strongly disencourage people at risk of epilepsy to watch the video.
