If you drop sand on stacks of snow slabs with different thickneses, it sometimes destroys the stack, and sometimes lands on top of it. This even varies if you relog while the sand is falling.
Steps to Reproduce are not required. Just experiment with different stack/slab heights. Also experiment what happens if you relog, and what happens if you don't.
You have 14 combinations.

This is not an issue any more. In the current versions, sand always replaces the snow. If one drops sand on another slab-like block (enchanting table, ender chest, bed ...), the sand always breaks into an item.
I've marked this as fixed. If it comes back in the future or you incorrectly decided it was fixed you can ask it to be reopened here.
Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 14w30c? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
