Minecart with Furnace unable to turn corners

Steps to reproduce:

Make a looping track of rails (any rail) and place a Minecart with Furnace on any part of the track, then use coal to activate the Minecart.

As the video shows, as long as the minecart with furnace is activated, it will unable to be able to turn corners and will instead go backwards until it either reaches a wall or another curved rail (corner), additionally, all other minecarts will be derailed if trying to cross paths with the minecart if the track is small enough.

Expected result:
The Minecart with Furnace should be able to turn the corner and not start reversing.
