MC-167906 fixed this issue for Bee Hive and Bee Nest. However, other items still experience this issue for example Vault with Ominous blockstate
/give @p minecraft:vault[block_state={ominous:"true"}]
The Vault block will still appear as normal Vault in inventory/as item/in hand, and only appear as Ominous when placed
