Re-scaled Parrots revert to their normal size when sitting on a player's shoulder

Parrots with an edited scale attribute will lose their re-sized appearance when sitting on a player’s shoulder.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Run /summon parrot ~ ~ ~ {attributes:[{id:"scale",base:3}]} (parrot will appear huge)

  2. Tame the parrot

  3. Let it sit on your shoulder. It will appear to shrink back down to “normal” parrot size.

Potential Fixes:

  • Make the parrot appear as its “correct” size when sitting on you (will potentially look goofy and out of place)

  • Make it so parrots with a modified scale attribute can’t sit on shoulders at all

  • Add a new NBT field to parrots, like canSitOnShoulder or something (defaults to true), so developers can control whether they want the scaled parrots to be able to sit on you
