when joining snapshot 20w09b, the game runs fine for a minute, then the screen will freeze

I wrote a summary so you already know what this is about. But, here’s some more info.

Whenever starting a new world under the version of that snapshot, it’ll run fine until i try to use my inventory, then it just freezes. And when frozen,, everything still works like, the screen will freeze, and i’ll hear chickens clucking. i pressed escape, when i was (supposedly) on inventory, schrolled down to the point where i was (supposedly) aiming down, hit the ground and the breaking dirt sound played. i hope someone can answer this problem.
