When sitting in a minecart that is on rails that are slanted, your player is halfway into the minecart, or your view is inside the cart.

What I expected to happen was...:
I thought I was going to have a nice trip in a minecart around my statues.

What actually happened was...:
When I hoped into the minecart, my view was the view inside the cart...

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get rails, a minecart and put minecart on slanted rails (in creative) and sit in cart.
2. You should now see your vision is within the cart not through the avatar but the view is what is inside the cart.
