Minecraft is connecting to mc.domain.com:25565 instead of mc.domain.com:26665 using a SRV record

I've checked through my DNS records and have seen nothing conflicting if you were wondering. NameCheap is my registrar. Sometimes when I refresh it works, and sometimes it says Cannot Resolve Hostname. I have no problems with my Godaddy domain and have also asked NameCheap to reset my DNS records to default multiple times, however still no luck. When it actually works, I try to connect to it, sometimes I can actually get in the server, sometimes it just says unknown host 'server ip here'.

What IP have you set the IP to in Minecraft?

The IP is my SRV record. mc.domain.com. When i use just the IP + port it works fine. With SRV record, it sometimes tries to connect to mc.domain.com:25565

25565 is the default port. If you get anything else, it's not Minecraft's fault.

Minecraft supports SRV records, it should be connecting to something other then 25565

Okay. I suspect it's a server-side issue, though. What happens if you manually input the port?

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.7.2 / Launcher version 1.3.4 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

No answer, assuming no longer an issue.
