Large spruce trees (redwood trees) cannot be spawned from a 2x2 square of saplings

Steps to reproduce

• Build a 2x2 square of spruce saplings in a clear space

• Fertilise it with bonemeal, a regular spruce tree will grow from only 1 of the saplings
