Can't grow 2x2 Spruce

I dont think you can grow them yet

I can confirm this, but seeing as it is only the first snapshot it will probably be added later

I'd suggest that Covered Forest trees should be grown with 2x2 oak saplings, considering that they have oak leaves. 2x2 Mega Taiga trees, on the other hand, are spruce wood with spruce trees and should obviously be grown with 2x2 spruce saplings. Although TBPH it would probably be best if each tree gets a new leaf type that drops tree-specific saplings and maybe a new wood type (The way most mods that add trees work).

It seems like each wood type has a "large" variant - Jungle, and now Taiga (Spruce) and Oak - not Birch yet, and I've no idea what they plan with Acacia - they're jungle wood with oak leaves... so it would seem fine to leave the variant as a 2x2 of the original, at least to me... personally, I like the idea that you can build spawnable structures in the world by arrangement in the world rather than on a crafting table - like double chests, golems, and Nether portals...

just tested, still the same issue, only jungle trees can make the 2 by 2 trees manually, i really wanna have this fixed, im kind of a lumberjack 😛

Note that there are two different types of huge spruce trees, those in the

• mega taiga biome (with only a few leave at the top)
  and those in the

• mega spruce taiga biome (with many leaves)

I'm not sure how it could be done, but I think it would be great if you could regrow both types. I personally think the mega spruce taiga ones look much better.
