Dear Mojang Support Team,
I hope you are doing well. I would like to report a possible bug in the latest version of Minecraft regarding the Minecart with Hopper not functioning correctly in certain setups.
Summary
In the latest Minecraft version, Minecart with Hopper does not pick up items in certain conditions. While testing, I found that it does not work in my Slime Farm item collection system, but it still functions properly in an Automatic Furnace setup.
Description of the Issue
My friends and I set up a Minecraft server using the latest version.
I built a Slime Farm with an item collection system using Minecart with Hopper, but it fails to collect dropped items.
I have tried various non-full-blocks like Slabs, Trapdoors, Campfires, and other similar blocks, but the issue persists.
However, the Automatic Furnace system, which also uses Minecart with Hopper, still works normally.
The issue occurs in both Multiplayer (Server) and Singleplayer mode.
I have tested removing all plugins and mods, but the issue remains.
Steps to Reproduce
Create a simple Slime Farm with a Minecart with Hopper under non-full blocks (e.g., Slab, Trapdoor, or Campfire).
Drop items on top of the non-full block.
Observe that Minecart with Hopper does not pick up the items.
Compare this behavior with an Automatic Furnace system, where the Minecart with Hopper still works correctly.
Expected Behavior
Minecart with Hopper should pick up items when passing under non-full blocks, as it normally does in previous versions.
Observed Behavior
Minecart with Hopper fails to collect dropped items in certain setups, despite working correctly in other mechanics like Automatic Furnace.
Additional Testing & Notes
The issue persists even without plugins or mods.
This happens in both Singleplayer and Multiplayer.
We have tested various types of non-full blocks, but none seem to fix the problem.
The same setup worked in previous versions, so this might be a new bug introduced in the latest update.
Could you please confirm if this is an intended change or a bug? If it's a bug, I would appreciate any updates on a possible fix. Thank you for your time and support!
Best regards,
vieThinh.

You need to start with a vanilla client. No modloader. Then once you can produce the issue, try to make the test case as small as possible. Provide screenshots.
Cannot reproduce this myself, since you mentioned that you tried this issue with mods, can you try reproducing the issue in a newly generated world? Also, can you send a screenshot of the farm?
