Players now instantly catch on fire and stay on fire for a long time, when they barely touch fire. This was not the case in 1.21.4; the player had to stand in fire for longer stay on fire for a long time. This may be the result of MC-7697 getting fixed.
How to reproduce:
Sprint through a single block of fire
Expected result:
The player is quickly extinguished since they barely touched it, as it was in 1.21.4 and previous versions
Observed result:
The player stays on fire for longer, as if they were standing in it

I can confirm, but this behavior fixes MC-178252 which seems correct to me. The previous behavior (players not catching fire unless standing in it for a while seems unintended) is inconsistent with non-player entities. I think this is intended, but that’s not my call to make.
