Switching weapons triggers both weapons effects

Weapon Effect Combination Bug: When hitting a player with a sword and quickly switching to a mace, both weapons' effects trigger - the sword's damage and the mace's wind burst. This behavior only occurs in Java Edition and cannot be reproduced in Bedrock Edition. Is this an intended difference between versions?

The details are in the video, the only thing to add to the thread is that you try to do the same on Bedrock, but on Bedrock it only takes the effect of the first weapon rather than the mace.
