[MC-29682] Horses and leads

I wanted to tie my lead (with my saddled horse) to a fence, and when i right clicked on the fence, it did not tie itself to the fence. I disconnected it and it worked after a long time.

Oh yeah it seems to happen every other time i tie a horse now

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.7.2 / Launcher version 1.3.4 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
