Currently, when obtaining wood planks of any variety, it seems that it will not allow bowls to be crafted. I have tested this on creative mode, and it appears that I am unable to do unless I turn off the game mode with gamerules on.
I’m not sure if this is true with any other item but it would be inconvenient.
This issue is Invalid. The bowl recipe is obtained by the following conditions, not by getting planks:
