Bossbar sprites using MCMETA do not behave as expected

Custom bossbars generally do not follow the expected rules of MCMETA files. For example, changing the “type“ to “nine_slice“ and setting up parameters for the borders will do nothing but squeeze the border size within the 5 pixel tall bossbar and delete everything else.

PROCESS:
1 - Download attacked zip pack.
2 - Make a bossbar in game using one of any color. (Each have a unique border set. White is set to stretch)
3 - Notice it does not react as expected. (White is the only one that shows the full sprite but it displays as horribly disfigured)

EXPECTED RESULT:

ACTUAL RESULT:

The image showing some odd snippets of a bossbar.

Maybe the bossbar canvas is supposed to only be within the 182 x 5 field, which if so could be a nice feature request with the waypoint styles being added.
