I reinstalled Minecraft for the first time in about a year today. I joined a Realm with a few friends and immediately started having issues where my game is flicking or solid black, apart from the sky. The only way I've found so far to fix it is to limit the frame rate to 20 — anything higher, the issue reoccurs. I tried every solution online, and none fixed it. I noticed a few reports of the same issue over the past few days with no reported fix.
