Description:
In Minecraft Java Edition 25w18a, players are unable to attach a lead to minecarts. This behavior is inconsistent with boats, which can be leashed. It would be expected that minecarts, as similar transport entities, should support the same interaction. This inconsistency may limit creative builds or redstone contraptions involving entity movement. A video demonstrating the issue is attached for reference.
Steps to Reproduce:
Place a rail on the ground.
Place a minecart on the rail.
Hold a lead and attempt to attach it to the minecart (right-click).
Observe that the lead does not connect to the minecart.
Expected Result:
The lead should attach to the minecart, allowing it to be pulled or attached to another entity, like how boats can be led.
Actual Result:
Nothing happens β the minecart cannot be leashed.
Additional Notes:
This was tested in Minecraft Java Edition 25w18a.
A video demonstrating the issue is attached.
Environment
Minecraft Java Edition 25w18a (Vanilla)
