Remove Rosetta 2 dependency in Minecraft launcher

  1. Steps to reproduce the issue:
Download the macOS Minecraft launcher from https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download; drag to Applications; launch.

  2. Expected result:
The Minecraft launcher opens for further use.

  3. Actual result:
macOS displays a notice that Rosetta 2 must be installed for the application to open. Since upgrading my laptop, I have found that the Minecraft launcher is the only application that requires Rosetta 2. Apple has not produced an Intel CPU device in over four years. It is time for the Minecraft launcher to be upgraded at least to a multi-architecture application.

Environment

macOS Sequoia 15.4.1
