As above. This bug was incompletely addressed in MCL-22108 . That bug is in no way resolved. Installing Minecraft on a new, modern macOS system should not ever require installing Rosetta 2. https://aka.ms/minecraftClientMac ← This file a.k.a. Minecraft.dmg needs to be updated not to require Rosetta 2. Try again, please.

I’m not going to install Rosetta 2 just to run an updater that removes the Rosetta 2 requirement. This ticket needs to be reopened.

I just downloaded a fresh Minecraft.dmg from https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download and it is still version 2.1.3 from September 2024. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
