The new environmental fog does not move with render distance, which causes high render distances to have way too much of the terrain be covered in the environmental fog. It also causes lower render distances to have too little environmental fog.
Note that this issue could also be fixed by making environmental fog move further out the higher into the sky you go. This would keep the current visual on the ground while fixing the excessive fog cover when more terrain becomes visible as you move higher up.
Steps to Reproduce:
Turn on high render distance
Observe how the majority of the terrain is covered in fog, due to the environmental fog ignoring render distance
Turn on low render distance
Observe how there is very little environmental fog, again due to the environmental fog ignoring render distance
Observed Results:
Environmental fog covers too much of the terrain with high render distance, due to not respecting render distance.
Expected Results:
Environmental fog moves farther with higher render distances, and closer with lower render distances.
