Suspending computer with Minecraft open on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS leads to really strange behavior when system is resumed

If I open Minecraft, (to the title screen) and then suspend the Laptop, Minecraft is really visually broken when the system is turned on.

It’s fine when first opened.

I’m using the GA kernel (version 5.15.0-139-generic).

The laptop is a Dell XPS 17 L702X with a NVIDIA GeForce 550M GPU.

The GPU does work and is detected by Minecraft.

Normally, the window renders with no text, or Magenta text (no clue).

However, one time, the title screen flickered between the usual text-less menu and this weird overlay of text (see screenshot).

1.21.5 has the same problem actually.

This did not used to happen.

1.20.6 does not have this issue.

1.21.4 , 1.21.2, 1.21, 1.20.6 are fine.

I am assuming 1.21.4 and below are all fine.

It turns out the issue was I changed -Xmx2G to -Xms2G in the minecraft game options.

Why would that cause this issue?

That is bizzare!

But in 25w20a it still happens, no matter what.

it’s a chance it has something to do with your GPU.

The RAM option actually has nothing to do with it, but it went away right after I changed it.

Strange.

The GPU is likely at fault, though it works for OpenCL fine.

It can run BOINC just fine.

This is a new problem.

a mi también me ha pasado pero en vez de lo de tus imágenes, la pantalla se vuelve negra y solo aparece el logo de minecraft
