Cape not syncing from Bedrock to Java

Since most of the internet is talking about capes syncing between game versions it is a shame that it does not work at the moment for anyone.

as I understand there has been some cape duplication / transfer bug and the syncing got disabled, but since there is no official communication whatsoever regarding either sync being disabled nor any clue when it might be reenabled I am reporting this as a java bug.
