Sitting animals produce footstep sounds

Unsure if this is a feature request or invalid, but it’s something I've been noticing.

Tamed sitting animals like the wolf and cat produce footstep sounds despite no active walking animation. This is especially noticeable when these entities are under active collision with another mob, causing looping footstep sounds.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Tame a wolf or cat and make it sit

  2. Attach a lead or collide with the sitting animal

  3. Notice the footsteps when moved around

After consideration, the issue is being closed as Won't Fix.

Please note that this is not the same as Working as Intended, as this bug report correctly describes behavior in the game that might not be the intended or desirable behavior, but it will not be fixed right now.
