Today I logged into minecraft on a singleplayer world and noticed my hotbar wouldn’t stop scrolling. I play on PC, it isn’t a problem with my mouse. The number keys don’t work either. I can scroll in the opposite direction briefly but it just continues trying to scroll. I’ve even loaded up multiple versions and rebooted the game.

@clamlol I’ve confirmed its not my mouse. I’ve disconnected it, replaced the batteries, switched it out with another mouse… nothing changes. Scrolling works fine on other websites.
But this wasn't a problem yesterday in the same world and Minecraft version, was it? If so, and this just started occurring in your 1.21.5 world, this is most likely still a software or hardware issue, not a bug with the game, since my hotbar scrolls as expected.
It was not an issue yesterday, no. I’m not sure what could’ve caused the issue though, as I haven’t done anything to my computer between quitting the game last night and booting it up this morning.
I don’t think anyone will be able to reproduce this with just the information you’ve provided, since it really does sound like a problem with your mouse. Does the issue persist after switching to another mouse or trackpad? And can you scroll without issue in other apps?
