This behavior was introduced in 25w18a.
The bug
When the player isn't a member of any Realm, a focusable text widget reading "You don't seem to have a Realm..." is shown in the Realms main screen. As of a recent version, this focusable text widget now has a plain black background.
This change might not have been intentional, as it wasn't mentioned in the relevant changelog, and the image widget above hasn't received such a background. It might be related to MC-297115, which was fixed in the same version.
Steps to reproduce
Prerequisite: The player must not be a member of any Realm.
Launch the game in online mode.
In the main menu, press the "Minecraft Realms" button. The Realms main screen will open.
In the Realms main screen, take note of the appearance of the "You don't seem to have a Realm..." focusable text widget.
Observed behavior
The focusable text widget will have a black background.
[media]Expected behavior
The focusable text widget would have an invisible background, as was the case in prior versions.

@Toucka Hi. Please stop leaving comments like these; they’re unhelpful, misleading, and it’s clear that you’re not fully reading the reports you’re commenting on. It’s Mojang’s call on whether something is intended or unintended, so there’s no need for you to state whether you think something is or isn’t a bug. Thank you.
